For more than 10 years Netball NSW and the NSW Swifts have partnered with The Kids’ Cancer Project to support vital childhood cancer research.
While Crazy Hair & Sock Day remains the signature fundraising activity uniting the netball community across the state, the charity partnership has expanded in 2021 to enable generous spectators at Swifts home games to contribute to the cause through the 50-50 Charity Raffle.
The 50-50 Charity Raffle is a not-for-profit fundraising product operated by the 50-50 Foundation where 50 percent of the prize pool raised through each fundraising raffle goes to one lucky ticket holder who is drawn at random during the event. The remaining 50 percent goes directly towards charitable purposes.
Since 2013, 50-50 Charity Raffle has raised more than $4M delivering $2M to charity partners and $2M in prize money.
Throughout the 2021 netball season, visitors to Swifts home games at Ken Rosewall Arena, Sydney Olympic Park will have the chance to buy tickets from The Kids’ Cancer Project volunteers equipped with electronic devices to make purchase easy.
The total pool of funds collected from ticket sales is split 50-50. Fifty percent goes directly to the lucky winner, while the other 50 percent will go directly to The Kids’ Cancer Project.
