The Kids’ Cancer Project is delighted to have been named as one of sixteen Australian charities set to benefit from Beyond Bank’s dollar-for-dollar fundraising campaign that will run over a two-week period in April 2025.
Between Wednesday 2 April and Thursday 4 April 2025, all donations made to The Kids’ Cancer Project will be matched.
The Kids’ Cancer Project CEO, Owen Finegan, says he hopes for a a significant response from The Kids’ Cancer Project’s wonderful donor community.
“I’d like to thank Beyond Bank for their generosity and support of The Kids’ Cancer Project, childhood cancer research and our dream of no child dying from cancer,” he says.
“I’m confident that our donors will dig deep knowing that their gift will go twice as far for kids with cancer between 2-4 April.”
The Double Donation fundraiser is powered by the Beyond Bank Australia Foundation, the bank’s charitable arm. The Foundation works closely with not-for-profit organisations around the nation to ensure that they have the support they need to grow and prosper.
This is the fifth year for the successful fundraiser, with over $1.2 million invested back into the local community to date.
Each charity will be given two days to encourage supporters to donate a tax-deductible amount that will then be matched by Beyond Bank, up to a total amount of $10,000 per charity.
At the close of the fundraising event, the final donations will be tallied, doubled and provided straight back to each charity to use in its various community programs.
“The ongoing cost of living crisis has increased the number of Aussies experiencing financial and emotional stress – resulting in an increase of people seeking support services from charities,” says Peter Rutter, Chief Community and Strategy Officer, Beyond Bank Australia.
“What we’re seeing is that many of these charities are struggling to provide their usual services due to rising costs, increased demand and a drop in donations. All of the charities involved provide real frontline support, assisting the people and families most in need”.
The Double Donation fundraiser kicks off on Wednesday, 2 April. Beyond Bank will announce the final fundraising results after the campaign.
