Through the Colin Biggers & Paisley Foundation, the legal practice helps disenfranchised and disadvantaged people in the community by providing pro bono legal services, volunteering and charitable contributions.
In 2020 Colin Biggers & Paisley announced a major partnership with The Kids’ Cancer Project to collaborate on one of the Colin Biggers & Paisley Foundation's focus areas: children.
Colin Biggers & Paisley know that many of their people have been impacted by the deadly disease that is cancer, children and adults alike. They knew there would be tremendous support by their people to get behind The Kids’ Cancer Project to help support the vision of a one hundred percent survival rate for children diagnosed with cancer while eradicating the harmful impacts treatment can bring. What resonated with Colin Biggers & Paisley was not only the work of The Kids’ Cancer Project but how important it is with so many lives impacted.

We stand together with The Kids' Cancer Project to support innovative science and research-led outcomes.
To help support the vision and work of The Kids’ Cancer Project, the Colin Biggers & Paisley Foundation is providing a range of pro bono legal services, donations, fundraising, employee contributions, in-kind support and professional volunteering. This is a unique opportunity to bring the practice’s core skills, resources, people and energy, together with the charity’s knowledge and expertise, to achieve real and lasting change for the lives of the kids diagnosed with cancer and their families.
In support of Colin Biggers & Paisley's partnership with The Kids’ Cancer Project, the practice launched a “Final Hour Appeal” in 2020 with funds raised going toward scientific research to improve childhood cancer treatments. More than $11,600 was raised by staff who kindly sacrificed the salary of their final working hour of the year.
On top of the Final Hour Appeal, Colin Biggers & Paisley staff were given the option of receiving an ethical gift box from Mettle Women Inc for Christmas or donating their Christmas gift money to The Kids’ Cancer Project. The majority of staff opted to donate to raise an additional $8,790.
Through these initiatives, Colin Biggers & Paisley raised in excess of $20,300 to support children with cancer by funding vital childhood cancer research through The Kids’ Cancer Project.
In 2021 Colin Biggers & Paisley stepped up again with a new major fundraiser, Step Up for Kids’ Cancer. In partnership with The Kids’ Cancer Project, a team from Colin Biggers & Paisley are participating in the charity’s Larapinta Trail trek. While some staff will head to the Northern Territory for the challenge in August 2021, others will join them virtually walking the trail in support. Their company-wide fundraising goal is $50,000 for childhood cancer research.
With thanks to the support of our partners we can continue to fund vital childhood cancer research. Contact our team today to see how we can work together.
