Fast Automation are pleased to be able to continue their partnership with The Kids’ Cancer Project to end childhood cancer by funding vital scientific research to support their mission to stop the disease that is the number one killer of Australian children in its tracks.
Fast Automation, an Australian leader in automation and robotics, has stepped up to support a national charity, The Kids’ Cancer Project.
The latest donation has led to over $100,000 worth of support and is part of the charity's most ambitious fundraising initiative ever - to raise $1.7 million by 31 October through The Kids' Cancer Project Double Impact Appeal.
The campaign started in August with outreach to corporate partners and major donors in September (Childhood Cancer Awareness Month). It is now continuing through to the end of October and generating a ground swell of community support that is supporting kids with cancer.
Owen Finegan, CEO of The Kids’ Cancer Project encourages organisations of all sizes to invest their corporate social responsibility dollar wisely. He congratulated Fast Automation for generosity that is set to go a long way and welcomed the company’s desire to give back to the community by commiting to fund childhood cancer research.
“Three children are diagnosed every day, with over 950 children diagnosed each year and with three passing away each week, funding scientific projects is the fastest way to a cure.
Fast Automation has stepped up to make a genuine difference in the lives of children diagnosed with cancer and their families by donating over $100,000 towards medical research to find better treatments,” said Owen.
David Askew, CEO of Fast Automation said: “The Kids’ Cancer Project and Fast Automation both deliver quality and innovation. Both organisations have a passion for their vision and like to have fun."
“Thanks to the hard work from all the team at Fast Automation we have been able to adopt this amazing cause and I strongly recommend this course of action to other companies,” he said.
“This partnership has had several benefits, uniting our team with a real sense of purpose and we are really proud to be able to give back and have a real impact for kids with cancer.”
