The Kids’ Cancer Project wishes to congratulate charity ambassador and sarcoma survivor Molly Croft, along with cancer advocate and Australian Diamonds player Amy Parmenter, on their joint 2025 Young Australian of the Year nomination.
Recognised for their efforts in sarcoma advocacy, Molly and Amy have been nominated for their co-founding of The Tie Dye Project. The pair create and sell a number of tie dye-themed items, with proceeds donated to sarcoma research.
Molly is something of a sarcoma superstar. She has previously been the face of our inaugural K’day campaign, spoken about the efforts of The Kids’ Cancer Project on Today and national radio, and is pencilled in to co-host this year's Christmas for a Cure alongside entertainment icon Richard Wilkins.
Amy juggles sarcoma advocacy and fundraising with being one of Australia’s premier netball stars, recently making the Australian Diamonds again after a stellar season as captain of the Melbourne Mavericks.
The Kids’ Cancer Project CEO, Owen Finegan, says he is delighted to hear of the pair’s nomination.
“On behalf of all of us at The Kids’ Cancer Project, I want to congratulate Molly and Amy on their joint Young Australian of the Year nomination,” he says.
"Molly has been an invaluable asset to The Kids’ Cancer Project and the wider sarcoma research community, and it's truly inspiring to see her dedication to sarcoma recognised.
“I also want to congratulate Amy on her nomination, proving that she is a true sensation both on and off the netball court. Without people like Molly and Amy, we would be unable to change the statistics and livelihoods of kids with cancer.”
This year’s edition of the Tie Dye Project Festival will be held on 24 November at Randwick Netball Association, raising funds for sarcoma research.
